1/4 pound of Extract Grade Tahitian Vanilla Beans.  This can be comprised of wholes, splits, and cuts.

1/4 pound can make one quart of extract.

They might be ugly, but they are perfect for making vanilla extract.

These beans are for making vanilla extract.  If you want to split and/or scrape the beans, you need Grade A beans.

Tahitian vanilla beans have a sweet, floral note in addition to the flavor you would get from Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans.
